Annukka Santasalo-Aarnio

Annukka Santasalo-Aarnio was appointed assistant professor on Energy Conversion and Storage at Aalto School of Engineering in September 2018. She leads a multidisciplinary research team with focus areas of sustainable design of energy systems to be recyclable, power-to-fuels, thermal energy storage systems and materials and harvesting energy from end-of-life batteries. She has strong background in electrochemical systems from her PhD and post doc period. Additionally, she worked for 3 years as a university lecture on circular economy and now holds course on Circular Economy for Energy Storage.
