Kokkola Material Week’s venue is the Kokkolasali of Kokkola City Hall. Modern and comfortable facilities guarantee a successful event. The recently renovated Kokkola town hall meeting rooms are suitable for many needs. The premises are also suitable for people with mobility impairments. If necessary, there are accommodation options for event participants within walking distance.

Kokkola is located on the west coast of Finland and is the regional center of Central Ostrobothnia. There are good connections to Kokkola by road, air and rail.

The venue of Kokkola Material Week is located at Kokkola town hall, Kauppatori 5.

Arrival in Kokkola:

By plane
Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport is located about 20 km from the center of Kokkola in the municipality of Kruunupy. There are scheduled flights to the airport from Helsinki.

There are pre-bookable airport transfers between the city center and the airport.

By train
Kokkola railway station is along the main line in the city’s core. You can get here from Helsinki in 3 hours 40 minutes and from Rovaniemi in five hours. You can find more information on VR’s website, www.vr.fi

By bus
The Kokkola bus station is located right next to the train station. Daily departures to the north, south and east. Timetables compiled from Matkahuolto. Onnibus’ Helsinki-Jyväskylä-Kokkola and Turku-Kokkola-Oulu lines also run to Kokkola.

By road
Kokkola is along three highways, E8 (Turku-Oulu-Tromssa), 13 (Jyväskylä, Lappeenranta) and 28 (Kajaani). With the WasaLine car ferry Umeå-Vaasa (120 km) you can also reach Kokkola from Sweden.

Parking
There is free parking space in different parking areas near Kokkola town hall at Kauppatori 5.
There is plenty of parking space in the center of Kokkola as well, with parking lots along the streets, as well as behind Matkahuolto, Tehtaankatu 13. Free parking space can be found near the sports hall at Vapaudentie 1.
Parking garages can be found e.g. from Chydenia shopping center, HalpaHalli, Kallentori and the former Anttila property.
Paid spaces are available at the railway station and the library parking garage.
